This Morning Routine Will Improve Your Mood
I’m going to say the thing you aren’t supposed to say.
Not every morning needs a routine. The current obsession with wellness trends is that every morning must include X, Y and Z. If you miss a step, then you’re undisciplined and unworthy.
And don’t forget the ONE THING that changes the game for your health. The one size fits all, because that sounds realistic right?
Do you know what’s healthy?
Your morning not going to plan
Forgetting a part of your routine
Sleeping in
Mess/spilt coffee
This is not to say that we don’t need discipline, or repetition to make a new habit stick. My point is that our needs change day by day, week by week, and year by year. Your needs are something that YOU must determine. Not what’s trending on insta, or someone’s highlight reel that excludes their spilt coffee and baby spew on their shoulder.
Be clear, be intentional with your health goals and actually cut out the noise. The online world can be particularly noisy, and we are in the age of information overload. When your health feels out of control, simplify everything. Hit the basics, be present with people you care about and take a deep breathe. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
